Custom Domain Settings

Custom Domain Settings

Step 1: Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Click on Account from the Settings menu.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Account settings and click on the Create Domain button.

Step 4: Per the instructions on the next screen, you’ll need to log into your domain name registrar and find the DNS settings for the domain name you’d like to use.

Step 5: Click the Next button.

Step 6: Edit the DNS settings. Set the “A” record by setting “name” of the “A” record to your domain and “value” to and add a new record. Select CNAME record. Type www for the host and enter your domain name as the value.

NOTE: Some of these settings can change from one registrar to the next, so you may need to play around with some of these settings to create the customized domain name. This may involve creating a subdomain name, for example.

Step 7: Once you’ve entered those domain name settings, you’ll have to wait a little while. Domain name settings may take several hours to take effect while the new domain name settings propagate across the internet.

Step 8: Click the Next button.

Step 9: Enter your domain name in the Domain Name textbox.

Step 10: Click the Save Now button.

Step 11: You’ll see a screen that says You’re All Done and reminds you to wait a little while until the name settings have taken effect.

Step 12: Click the Done button to complete the process.

Step 13: Once the domain has changed, you’ll see an indicator under the Account settings confirming that the domain is showing properly across the internet.

This video will show you how to create a custom domain name.
